How Picasso Became Kinkade

USOing war into something funny
sits in chicken wire and bamboo
long before it was a war on terror

Bob Hope drowns for apples
careening at caravanned carnivals
Wringling our necks for the orgasm of asphyxiation

spicy paper macheted volcanoes
the science project of destruction
shoots despair into the mainline

behind asphalt lucidity, corner store crafts
erupt in rote repetition
of idealized anthems, desiccant trees

fat city liberty razed till sterility
portraying Picaso as Thomas Kinkade
whitewashing Bird into Kenny G

started with lamb and lion set free
no mention of buddha, muhammed's obscene
jesus would save us, if he weren't so mean
